Bulldogs Underway at Cal Classic

FRESNO, Calif.-- The Fresno State women's golf team sit in 11th place after the first round of competition at the Cal Classic in Pleasanton, Calif. The two-day tournament is held at the 6,304-yard, par-72 Ruby Hill Golf Club.
The Bulldogs shot 28 over par, 316. The `Dogs are lead by freshman Hannah Sodersten who shot five over par. Sodersten sits in a tie for 26th place with 77.
"Hannah had a pretty steady day aside from a couple of holes," head coach Angie Cates-Moore said. "She's hitting the ball great and hit 12 greens in regulation."
Following Sodersten is senior Shaylee Yano who shot seven over par, 79 and finished in a tie for 37th place.
The Bulldogs return to action on Tuesday for the second round of the Cal Classic with a tee time set for 8:30 a.m. PST.
