FRESNO, Calif. -- Fresno State Athletics and Star Fine Foods are teaming up to end hunger this athletic season.
Star Fine Foods joined forces with the Bulldogs this season as a corporate partner with a cool twist.
As part of its "End Hunger" campaign, Star Fine Foods will make a donation to the Community Food Bank, which is located in Fresno and serves five counties in the Central Valley. The donations will be generated by every sack by the football team, block by the basketball team and strikeout thrown by a Fresno State pitcher.
"We're thrilled to be part of Star Fine Foods' End Hunger campaign," Fresno State Senior Associate Athletics Director Paul Ladwig said. "We have made it one of our top priorities to give back to our community and look forward to a very successful partnership that helps defeat hunger."
