New Fresno State Gameday App Released

FRESNO, Calif. -- With just days left until the Bulldogs' football team plays its home opener vs. Nebraska, the Fresno State Athletic Department announced the release of its new interactive application specifically designed for gameday and everyday use by the Red Wave.
The app, which is a free download through the iTunes App Store and Google Play store, includes all the information that Bulldog fans need 365 days a year. On this project, Fresno State partnered with former Bulldog football player Andrew Shapiro, who now works as an account executive for Guidebook, to create the app from a true Bulldogs' perspective.
"We know how important mobile devices have become for our fans and feel this is a great way to connect the Red Wave with our players, coaches and staff," Fresno State Senior Associate Athletics Director Paul Ladwig said. "Andrew was an excellent student-athlete when he was here at Fresno State and we were excited to be able to tap into his expertise and background as he created the perfect app for the Red Wave."
The purpose of the app is to give every Bulldog fan all the information that they need about their favorite Bulldog players, including access to rosters, bios, schedules, and upcoming promotions. Fans can also purchase tickets, search food options inside Bulldog Stadium, interact with Fresno State's social media accounts, watch the Mountain West Network and buy from the official online team store directly in the app.
Fresno State staff will send limited important game day notifications about where to park, ticket updates and selected other news items.
"Being a former Fresno State football player, that connection between the community and players pushed us to do the best we could," Shapiro said. "I think this app is going to be very beneficial. Everything you need on gameday and to stay updated on the Bulldogs is right at your fingertips in one location."
Fans are encouraged to download the app this week, so that the Red Wave is ready for Saturday's home opener vs. Nebraska. Simply search "Fresno State Athletics" on the App Store or Google Play Store, or visit http://bit.do/godogs
