Schwanz Named Sysco Student-Athlete of the Week

Junior cross country runner, Annemarie Schwanz led the Bulldogs with a first-place finish at the Fresno State Invitational on Friday, September 5. Schwanz ran a time of 14:37 at the Invite that was a distance of 4200m. This is her 7th consecutive time being the top finisher for the Bulldogs, dating back to the 2013 season. Schwanz broke the Fresno State all-time record last season on three occasions, thanks to her efforts in the NCAA Inter-Region Jamboree (5K 17:06) and Santa Clara Bronco Invitational (6K 20:38.5) and NCAA West Regional (6K, 22:08.6). The women's race included six teams overall (including league rivals Air Force, UNLV and San Jose State) in the contest hosted at Woodward Park - site of the 2014 MW Conference Championships.
