POST-GAME NOTES: Wyoming 70, Fresno State 65 (3OT)
1/17/2015 12:00:00 AM | Men's Basketball
Rodney Terry, Fresno State, Head Coach
"Wyoming is playing at a high level right now. They're an older team playing with urgency. We had a great crowd behind us today. They kept our guys energized throughout the game. We wouldn't have been in the position that we were in if it wasn't for the crowd. This team has really grown a lot. Our best basketball is still yet to be played. <[p> Wyoming made shots at the end and we didn't. We had great open looks. They threw one or two in and we didn't. We played to win. At the end of the day, they made more baskets than we did. I like to think that through the conditioning and the time that we put in, we live for moments like this. Anytime you lose a game at this level at home it's always difficult to swallow a loss.
We did get inside the paint in overtime. We got paint touches, and when we did they had a hard time with it. We're a confident team playing against zone and shooting the basketball. We've been trying to play hard-nosed defense. I think our defense gave us a chance to win.
We're going to have our hands full next Saturday (against Nevada at home). It's going to be an extremely physical game.

Having the crowd into it gave us energy. We love having the support of the community and we look forward to them coming out to the next game. You have to have a short term memory. We have time to prepare and understand what we have coming up for our next game.
