Harris Named Sysco Student-Athlete of the Week

Fresno State junior Marvelle Harris averaged 22.0 points, 4.0 rebounds, 3.0 steals and 2.0 steals per game as the junior team captain capped the week by leading the Bulldogs to a historic win over No. 25 San Diego State. The win over the defending regular season Mountain West champion Aztecs marked the Bulldogs' first win over a team ranked in the Top 25 since 2002 and first ever Top 25 win at the Save Mart Center. Harris scored a game-best 25 points in the victory over No. 25 SDSU to become the first MW scorer to post at least 25 points in five separate games this season. He also added seven rebounds, four steals and two steals while making nine of his 16 field goal attempts and shot 50 percent from the beyond the 3-point arc in that win. Harris also scored 19 points in a road game at three-time defending MW tournament champion New Mexico. During the week, Harris became the 31st Bulldog to surpass the 1,000 career points milestone and currently ranks No. 27 on the school's all-time scoring list in just 84 career games.
