FRESNO, Calif. - Just eight days away from Thanksgiving, the men's and women's Fresno State track and field programs look to celebrate the holiday with the Turkey Trials on Friday and Saturday at Warmerdam Field on the campus of Fresno State.
The Bulldogs will compete in running events on Friday afternoon from 2:45 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. and will wrap up action on Saturday morning with field events from 10 a.m. to noon. All Fresno State fans and supporters are encouraged to attend.
The Turkey Trials are a long time tradition for the track and field program and this year's version will mark the last time the 'Dogs will compete at Warmerdam Field before its scheduled new track and field construction project. Although the 'Dogs will not run a full meet schedule over the two days, it will be one that will tell the coaches where their student-athletes are at after their fall training.
The 'Dogs open up the 2016 indoor season on Friday, January 8 when they travel to Colorado Springs, Colo. for the Air Force Invitational.
"Be Bold!" - The official home of the Fresno State Bulldogs is 940 AM ESPN Radio.
