Faz Davalos Named Sysco Student-Athlete of the Week

Bego Faz Davalos, a business major, recorded the first triple-double in Fresno State women's basketball history on Dec. 8, with 24 points, 17 rebounds and 10 blocks in 29 minutes in a win over Cal State Stanislaus. All three stats were career highs for the redshirt sophomore. The triple-double was the 11th in Mountain West history and the only one to use blocks. It was the ninth recorded this season in Division I this season and was one of three to do it using blocks. On the week, Faz Davalos posted averages of 19.5 points, 11.5 rebounds, 6.5 blocks, 4.0 assists and 2.0 steals per game in two games. She currently ranks second in the NCAA in both blocks (41) and blocks per game (4.1), 10th in rebounds (107), 18th in in rebounds per game (10.7) and 22nd in double-doubles (5).
