Fox Named Sysco Student-Athlete of the Week

Senior guard Raven Fox, a business administration major with an emphasis in marketing, continued her double-digit outputs last week as she led the Bulldogs with team highs of 14 points against San Diego State and 15 versus Colorado State. Heading into the 2014-15 season, the senior had only three double-digit performances, and has now posted six such games this year. Fox swiped nine steals in the two games, tying her then-career high with four versus the Aztecs before coming away with a new career high of five in a four-point win over the second-place Rams. The nine steals moved her into a tie for second in the conference in the category with 2.2 per game and 43 total. In the Bulldogs' biggest game of the conference season thus far, Fox came up huge at key moments against Colorado State in just her first start since Dec. 19. Trailing by eight with just seconds to play in the first half, she stole the ball at midcourt and took it the other way for a layup before the buzzer to swing the momentum. With under four minutes to play in the game, and down by one, the senior produced back-to-back steals and fast-break layups to give Fresno State its first lead in over 28 minutes and turn the tide in the game as the Bulldogs went on to win 53-49.
