Jim Barkto Meets With Past BDF Presidents

The BDF incorporated in 1950 and 45 presidents served in 65 years before the Board of Trustees transitioned into a smaller Board of Directors in 2010.
Fifteen of the past presidents are deceased and three others were not in a position to meet the new Fresno State Director of Athletics because of serious medical conditions.
"The turn-out of 22 of the invited 27 past presidents is another positive sign that Bartko is offering a fresh perspective to the importance of the Valley community assisting the University with leadership and as ambassadors to help fund raise," said Pat Ogle, development officer with the BDF. "Bartko agreed with one past president's comment that the BDF legacy of assisting was built one day at a time and that is the model to follow as Fresno State begins the journey of empowering excellence of athletics as outlined by the new Bulldog AD."
