Two 'Dogs Named WGCA All-American Scholars

CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. - Guðrún Brá Björgvinsdóttir and Mimi Ho, members of the Fresno State women's golf team, were announced All-American Scholars by the Women's Golf Coaches Association on Monday.
A total of 748 women's collegiate golfers (DI, DII, and DIII) were recognized with the prestigious honor. The criteria for selection to the All-American Scholar Team required a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.50 and each student-athlete must have played in 50 percent of scheduled competitions.
Björgvinsdóttir, a kinesiology-exercise science major, sports a 3.75 cumulative GPA, while Ho owns a 3.72 GPA as a pre-psychology major.
Björgvinsdóttir competed in 10 events as a sophomore and registered an average score of 75.64 over 28 rounds of golf. Her top finish for the 2014-15 season was third-place at the Fresno State Classic after firing a 54-hole 221 (+5).
As a true freshman, Ho played in all 11 events for the 'Dogs over the course of the 2014-15 season. Ho shot an average score of 76.19 throughout 31 rounds and posted a top finish of fifth-place following a steady three-round outing (75-74-74=223,+7) at the Long Beach State Gold Rush.
