Scarbrough Named Sysco Student-Athlete of the Week

Carly Scarbrough, the sophomore outside hitter, was named the Most Valuable Player at the conclusion of the Fresno State Classic, helping the 'Dogs to a weekend record of 2-1. She led the team offensively with a personal weekend-high of 12 kills against Portland and a team-best hitting percentage of .444 in Saturday's match against UC Davis. The Sarasota, Fla., native averaged 2.90 kills in 10 sets during Fresno State's three-game slate, and additionally accounted for seven of the 'Dogs 16 blocks including a team second-best of three against both Southern Utah and the Aggies.
