Senior forward Moriah Faulk, a communication major, led Fresno State to a 69-65 double-overtime win at New Mexico on Jan. 2, posting her third double-double of the season with 16 points and 11 rebounds. It was the sixth double-double of her Bulldog career.
In the final six minutes of the game, Faulk scored nine points, grabbed two offensive rebounds that led to three points and provided a game-saving block and rebound at the 17-second mark in the second overtime as the ‘Dogs held a two-point lead. It was just Fresno State's third-ever win at New Mexico and the program's first double-overtime victory since Feb. 10, 1993.
Three days earlier, Faulk recorded eight points and five rebounds in 58-54 win over UNLV in the conference opener. With two seconds remaining in the contest, the senior iced the game with a free throw as she gave the ‘Dogs a four-point lead.
