Njeri Omawahleh Named Sysco Student-Athlete of the Week

Njeri Omawahleh, a health-science major at Fresno State, set a new personal record in the 200-meter dash at the House of Track High Performance meet with a 24.38-second time on Friday night in Portland, Ore., highlighting a busy weekend for the Fresno State track and field team. Omawahleh placed second, bunched between Olympic athletes Kineke Alexander (24.33) and LaVerne Jones-Ferrette (24.48), who both ran for the Elite Performance Track Club. Omawahleh also ran anchor for the 4x400-meter relay team that took first place that evening.
