Schwanz Named Sysco Student-Athlete of the Week

Annemarie Schwanz, a civil engineering major at Fresno State, set the school record in the 1-mile run, clocking a 4:47.13 time last week in a first-place finish at the Samford Invitational, Her time also broke the meet record. Schwanz bested her previous top indoor mile time by 9.44 seconds, the school record by 4.42 seconds and the Samford meet record by 3.94 seconds. The Fresno State 1-mile record had stood since 2010, set by Roxanne Sellick (4:51.55).
