On the game today…
"I thought today's game was a good challenge for us. It had a Mountain West tournament feeling to it. This was a big game for us going into the tournament. I felt like our kids really responded to their late scoring run. We kept pushing through the first. The second quarter we really got going, we had a good plan coming out of halftime, and the way we started the second half was huge."
On defense…
"I thought our press today was really good. We did a good job pressuring the ball. We had our guards getting in their forwards face, and they were throwing the ball away. It was reassuring to know that we had Bego Faz Davalos in the backcourt if anyone got a fast break. I thought we played really smart when they broke our press. We caused them to have to force shots up on offense."
On the versatility of the players…
"I think that's something we're better at than last year. We have fiver seniors and Bego who has played a lot. We've been able to do a lot of different stuff this season. We have good speed and understanding. It's been great for us to be able to change things up."
On the green jerseys…
"It was fun to represent the Valley at tonight's game. We try to represent the Valley well in every game. We are really grateful for our fans, what they do for a living, and how they come out to support us every night. It was nice to give back to them today."
On Colorado State…
"It's going to be a tough game and it's going to be different for us. They have a different brand of basketball. They play a different defense and they're good shooters. We're going to have to really recognize where they're at on the court without taking away from our defense. We need to make sure we keep doing what we were doing on the court tonight. We had moments of greatness last year at Colorado State and I think we can build upon that this year. We recognize that they're a good team but we're going to have to play better. It should be a fun game."

"Today felt like a tournament game. We as a team felt like we had to come out and make a statement early. When we play Fresno State brand of basketball, we're always fine. We came out of halftime with the mindset to finish the game early."
