Lambert Named Sysco Student-Athlete of the Week

Fresno State junior right-handed pitcher Jimmy Lambert, a sports marketing major at Fresno State, was named the Mountain West Pitcher of the Week this week.
Helping the Bulldogs stay a perfect 8-0 on the season, Lambert tossed a complete game shutout in game one of last Saturday's doubleheader sweep of Youngstown State. Bolstered by 11 runs from the Bulldog offense, Lambert threw a career-high nine innings limiting the Penguins three hits issuing zero walks and striking out five. He notched seven 1-2-3 innings and faced only two batters over the minimum retiring 27 of the 29 YSU batters he faced on the afternoon while throwing only 94 pitches.
This is Lambert's first career MW Pitcher of the Week honor and is the 13th time a Fresno State pitcher has earned MW Pitcher of the Week since the 'Dogs joined the conference in 2013.
