Bulldogs win at Santa Clara, 6-1

Fresno State claimed the first five points of the match.
SANTA CLARA, Calif. – A day after falling at No. 16 Stanford, Fresno State women's tennis team returned to the courts on Saturday, topping Santa Clara 6-1 at Degheri Tennis Center. The Bulldogs clinched the match before allowing the Broncos to score their only point.

After losing the No. 1 doubles match, Ndindi Ndunda and Katerina Stloukalova evened doubles play at 1-1 with a 6-4 victory on Court 3. The 'Dogs claimed the point as Olivia Noble and Julianne Triebe led 3-2 before the Bronco pair was forced to retire.

The bottom of Fresno State's singles lineup extended the team's lead as Georgia Lawson routed Elizabeth Stephens, 6-1, 6-0, before Ndunda topped Caitlyn Frankel 6-3, 6-3. Emma Wilson then clinched the dual match over Nabila Farah at No. 1 with a 7-6, 6-2 victory. The 'Dogs went on to tack on wins at No. 1 from Stloukalova and No. 4 from Triebe.

The Bulldogs return to Stanford, Calif., on Sunday as they face No. 31 Texas in a neutral site match at 11 a.m. PT.
