Mountain West Media Summit begins on Tuesday

Head coach Jeff Tedford will be joined by senior Nathan Madsen and junior KeeSean Johnson at the 2017 MW Football Media Summit
FRESNO, Calif. – Each year a true tell that football season is around the corner is when coaches, student-athletes, media and conference officials converge at the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas for the Mountain West Football Media Summit. This year, the conference will host the 2017 edition July 25-26. The West Division will have its round with the media on Tuesday while the Mountain Division follows the ensuing day.

Representing Fresno State on Tuesday will be first-year head coach Jeff Tedford and senior defensive end Nathan Madsen and junior wide receiver KeeSean Johnson.

Monday, July 24: Social Media Room (7:15-7:45 p.m. PT)
Johnson and Madsen will kick off the festivities upon their arrival with some fun and games. Content compiled from the social media room will be featured live on the Mountain West official Facebook page (Facebook.com/MountainWestConference). Student-athletes from other West Division institutions will also take part in the social media room experience from 4:45-7:15 p.m. PT.

Tuesday, July 25: Preseason Picks (7 a.m. PT)
The Mountain West is again going to utilize Facebook Live (Facebook.com/MountainWestConference) to exclusively announce its 2017 preseason predicted order of finish and All-Conference team. Once the announcements have concluded on Facebook Live, a press release will be disbursed immediately thereafter.

Tuesday, July 25: Newsmaker Roundtables (8 a.m. PT)
A new element to the MW Football Media Summit, the Mountain West Network will host a series of four newsmaker roundtables. These roundtables will delve into national topics that are at the forefront of the college football enterprise. These roundtables will also feature questions from the media audience and will be broadcast live on the official Facebook page of the Mountain West (Facebook.com/MountainWestConference). Coach Tedford will join this roundtable with the five other respective head coaches from the West Division at 8 a.m. PT on Tuesday.

Tuesday, July 25: 940 AM ESPN Radio (10:45 a.m. PT)
Live on the Bulldogs' flagship station, Paul Loeffler and Cameron Worrell will be on-hand in Las Vegas to bring the Central Valley a live interview with Coach Tedford at 10:45 a.m. The duo will be on the air with others from around the conference from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. on Tuesday and 10 a.m.-12 p.m. on Wednesday.

Fresno State will hold its first practice official practice of fall camp on August 1. The Bulldogs will have 29 practices before opening up the season at home on Saturday, September 2 against Incarnate Word.
