TEMPE, Ariz. – No. 7 Arizona hit three home runs and four doubles as the Wildcats built an early lead and finished a 13-1 win over Fresno State in five innings in the second of two Bulldog games on Saturday at the Kajikawa Classic.

Fresno State (1-2) defeated another Pac-12 foe, Stanford, by a 2-0 score earlier on Saturday. Arizona (3-1) earned its second win of the day and third in four games at the season-opening tournament. Hayleigh Galvan had two hits and Dominique Jackson had an RBI double to lead the 'Dogs against the Cats.

How It Happened
Arizona took a 2-0 lead three batters into the contest as Jessie Harper hit a 2-run homer. The Wildcats added another run in the first inning and scored five times in the second, capitalizing on a Fresno State fielding error while tallying four hits, including an Alyssa Palomino 2-run home run.

The Wildcats scored another run in the third inning and three in the fourth as Harper hit her second 2-run home run of the game. The 'Dogs got their run in the bottom of the fourth as Galvan led off with an infield single and pinch runner Brooke Coates scored on Jackson's double to right center. Arizona tacked on a run in the fifth to complete the win.

The Bulldogs conclude play at the Kajikawa Classic facing two more Power-5 schools on Sunday. Fresno State faces Purdue at 8 a.m. Pacific time and Notre Dame at 10:30 Pacific at the Tempe Sports Complex. Both games will be live streamed on FloSoftball ($).
