- Fresno State celebrates homecoming when Colorado State comes to town for the first time since 2015.
- Saturday's meeting will be the 15th meeting all-time between the Bulldogs and Rams.
- The Bulldogs are 1-2 against the Rams as a Mountain West foe, having dropped their last two games (2015-16) prior to winning their only MW matchup in 2012.
- Fresno State will play its third of eight straight conference games on Saturday. It will be the second of the Bulldogs' three inter-divisional contests in 2019 having Utah State last at home on Nov. 9.
- Justin Rice was named the Mountain West Defensive Player of the Week on Monday after filling up the stat sheet vs. UNLV with 10 tackles (8 solo), a fumble recovery returned 18 yards for a touchdown as well as a forced fumble that led to a turnover gained.
- Jared Rice and Justin Rice are one of 14 brother duos that share starting positions on an FBS lineup this season. No other duo can stake claim of each scoring TDs in the same game in 2019 as Justin and Jared both scored against UNLV.
- Stat to watch: Fresno State enters the game against the Rams owning the 7th best mark in the FBS in turnovers gained (16) while Colorado State gives it away as much as anyone entering the game ranking 128th in the FBS in turnovers lost (18).
- The Bulldogs rank 2nd in the FBS in turnovers gained per game with 2.67.
- Fresno State has had 34 different players make a start in 2019. The Bulldogs are one of 16 teams in the FBS that share numbers of 34 or more.
- Five true freshman have made starts for Fresno State in 2019; only Alabama (8), UMass (7), Stanford (7), Texas A&M (7), USC (6) and Tennessee (6) have started more true freshman this season.
