Freshman Bailey Alexander earned her second MOP of the season with a 73-72.5 ride over Georgia's Annabeth Payne.
Â
The morning began with Horsemanship and Fences. With high-scoring rides across the board in the Fences, Georgia came out on top with a 3-2 win in the event. Sophomore Cecily Hayes completed her perfect Fences weekend with a 78-76 win over Maddy Darst of Georgia. Senior Erica Rosinski picked up her point for the 'Dogs with a 78-76 ride against Ali Tritschler.

Â
Georgia had a 8-6 lead through the opening three events.
Â
The Reining was a close battle that went the way of the 'Dogs in a 3-2 victory, but it wasn't enough to stop UGA's team victory. Alexander opened the event with an event-high 73 to earn the first point for Fresno State. Senior Shea Gilson was granted a re-ride on the second horse. Senior Paige Barton earned her point with a 68.5-68 win.
Â
The remaining two rides of the original draw went the way of UGA as they earned their points that were decided by no more than 1.5 points. As Gilson entered the arena for her re-ride, Georgia had already secured a 10-8 lead. Gilson won her point with a 70.5-69.5 ride to give Fresno State it's final point.
