Leather finishes as top Bulldog at New Mexico Indoor Classic

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – Fresno State's mid-distance group made the trip to Albuquerque Convention Center on Saturday to compete in the New Mexico Indoor Classic on Saturday. Ellie Leather scored the Bulldogs' top finish of the event placing eighth overall in the 800 meters.
The sophomore finished just over two-hundredths of a second back of the Section 2 winner as she placed third.
Freshman Sophie Jimenez placed 10th overall after winning Section 3 with a time of 2:17.46. She finished ahead of one of the newest Bulldogs in Agita Svetere who joined the team in January. Svetere clocked in at 2:20.65. Sara Stevens took third in the section at 2:22.84.
