Fresno State to host Fresno City College and BYU

FRESNO, Calif. – The Fresno State women's tennis team returns home on Sunday as the Bulldogs host a rescheduled doubleheader with Fresno City college on Sunday and BYU on Monday. Both matches will be held at Spalding G. Wathen Tennis Center.
Fresno State enters the weekend with a 3-5 overall record. The 'Dogs are coming off a 0-3 weekend a week ago at the Blue-Gray National Tennis Classic. The Bulldogs were outscored 8-1 in their opening two matches against No. 35 Texas Tech and No. 37 Auburn. The 'Dogs then fell to Yale 4-2 on the final day.
The Bulldogs and Rams will open Sunday's doubleheader at 11 a.m. with the second match to follow after a short break. Fresno State and BYU also start at 11 a.m. the following day.

SCOUTING THE RAMS
Fresno City is 9-0 this season, blanking five of their nine opponents.
Last week:Â Fresno City has played three matches this week, winning each with a 9-0 score.
Series history:Â Fresno State holds a 3-0 lead over FCC, defeating the Rams by identical 7-0 score lines in 2015, 2016 and 2017.
SCOUTING THE COUGARS
BYU is 5-3 on the year with all three of its losses coming in true road matches.

Last week:Â The Cougars headed south to Tucson, Arizona this week where they dropped a 6-1 match to host Arizona on Friday before defeating UNLV 4-3 on Saturday. BYU is 3-0 against the Mountain West during the past month.

Series history:Â Fresno State holds a 7-4 advantage over BYU all-time with the Bulldogs winning 4-2 and 4-3 duals during the past two seasons. During the last four matches, Fresno State is 3-1 but the duals have been close with the largest separation being two points.
