
53 Bulldogs earn Academic All-MW honors for fall term

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Fresno State had 53 student-athletes earn Fall 2019 Mountain West Scholar-Athlete honors, announced by the league on Friday morning.
The MW Scholar-Athlete Award is a prestigious accomplishment awarded by the conference. To qualify for the selection, student-athletes must maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better, have completed at least two academic terms at the member institution along with having been a significant contributor in their respective sport.
Fresno State was led by the football team, who earned 19 selections, followed by women's soccer who notched 16 awards, volleyball had nine while women's cross country had five, and men's cross country had four individuals on the team.
Overall, nine honorees earned a 4.00 grade point average while 16 honorees earned a 3.5 or better GPA.
