Stephenson surges into tie for 4th

PALM DESERT, Calif. – Fresno State junior Tommy Stephenson surged into a tie for fourth place at 5-under-par in the 2021 Wyoming Desert Intercollegiate at Classic Club in Palm Desert.

The fourth-place finish is the best of Stephenson's career playing for the Fresno State men's golf team.

The Bulldogs as a team also finished strong – improving by 18 strokes from round two to round three to climb into 11th in the 20-team competition, which was won by Georgia Tech.

Fresno State had the third-best finish of the five Mountain West teams in the tournament.
