Highlights
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The Mountain West enters the 2021-22 men's basketball season with the opportunity to position a host of teams for NCAA Tournament bids with returning stars, experienced transfers and veteran coaches throughout the league.
Â
On Friday, the MW announced the framework for its 18-game conference schedule with today's release representing the first phase in the 2021-22 men's basketball schedule process. National television partners CBS Sports and FOX Sports will now initiate a selection procedure which will include the shifting of particular games to any night of the week. That will be followed by the identification of network outlets and tipoff times.
Â
The Fresno State men's basketball team's 2021-22 nonconference schedule, which is close to being finalized, will start in November and end in late December before the Bulldogs open MW play at Boise State during the final week of December.
Â
Fresno State will play 12 MW games before the first of its two conference byes in February, which also currently features February home games against Nevada, UNLV and San Diego State. The Bulldogs' final regular season home game is scheduled against New Mexico, which will be followed by a road game at Wyoming in March.
