Shang earns Top 25 finish

Freshman Yu Shang leads the Bulldogs with a T24 finish at Molly Collegiate Invitational

SEASIDE, Calif. - The Fresno State women's golf team finished play at the 2021 Molly Collegiate Invitational, hosted by Cal, at the Bayonet Golf Course in Seaside, Calif. on Tuesday. Fresno State finished tied for 12th place with a 932 (313-311-308).
Stanford was the tournament winner with a 878 (301-295-282). Stanford's Rose Zhang was the individual champion with a 3-under 213 (73-72-68).
True freshman Yu Shang led the Bulldogs in the tournament with a 12-over 228 (76-78-74). Shang finished T24th, and earned the highest finish by a Bulldog this season.
Senior Jessica Hall was tied for 57th with a 237 (77-81-79). Nicola Kaminski was one stroke behind Hall, and finished T60 with a 22-over 238 (78-84-76). Senior Harriet Lynch was also T60th with a 238, shooting a 85-74-79 through the two-day tournament.
Jinyoung Yun shot 23-over, finishing T65th with a 239 (82-78-79).
Participating in the tournament as an individual, Morgan Polley finished T80th with a 35-over-par 251 (88-77-86).
Fresno State returns to the course on Oct. 11-12 at the Tulsa Invitational, hosted by Tulsa at The Golf Club of Oklahoma in Broken Arrow, Okla.
