Bulldogs edged 77-73 at Nevada

Orlando Robinson recorded his fourth straight double-double for the Bulldogs, who led for most of the first half, but didn’t complete a second-half comeback bid.
RENO, Nev. – The Fresno State men's basketball team lost 77-73 to the Nevada Wolf Pack on Friday night at the Lawlor Events Center.
Fresno State (13-5, 3-2 Mountain West) cut a 12-point second-half deficit to just three in the final minute, but got no closer to fall on the road for the second time in conference play.
Nevada (9-2, 3-2 MW) is a squad picked to finish third in the preseason poll.
Orlando Robinson scored a game-high 26 points with 12 rebounds to record his fourth straight double-double for the Bulldogs, who next play at New Mexico on Tuesday night.
How it happened: Fresno State only trailed for 14 seconds in the first half – leading by as many as nine even while allowing Nevada to make 65.2 percent of its first-half field goal attempts (15-for-23).
With Fresno State trailing 67-56, Isaiah Hill made a 3-pointer and Robinson added a free throw on the ensuing possession to cut the deficit to seven.
After Nevada answered with a Grant Sherfield lay-up, Robinson drained a 3-pointer to get the Bulldogs within six (69-63).
Fresno State later got within 76-73 after Hill converted a four-point play – a 3-pointer and a free throw – before Pack closed out the game.
