'Dogs top Pacific & Fresno Pacific

FRESNO, Calif. - The Fresno State swimming and diving team won all 16 events on Friday afternoon defeating Pacific, 206-77 and Fresno Pacific, 215-61 at the Fresno State Aquatics Center.

Eight different 'Dogs in 14 different events and both the 200 Medley Relay and 400 Free Relay teams earned first place in their respective events.

Senior Athena Clayson won both the 100 Back (55.76) & 200 Back (2:01.23), sophomore Wiktoria Dabrowska claimed the top spot in the 100 Free (51.99), 200 Free (1:52.72) & 500 Free (5:06.68) and freshman Samantha Arredondo placed first in the 100 Breast (1:05.41), 200 Breast (2:22.44) and 200 IM (2:07.73).

Senior diver Silvia Alessio came out on top on both the 1-Meter and 3-Meter diving scoring 296.70 points and 307.50 points, respectively. Sophomore Sera Hanagan posted a top time of 10:33.08 in the 1000 Free while redshirt senior Eleonora Trentin clocked a blazing time of 23.73 in the 50 Free.

Other winners included senior Mackenzie Hutler in the 200 Fly (2:05.98) and sophomore Julia Matney in the 100 Fly (56.41).

The Bulldogs return to the pool next Saturday (Oct. 29) traveling to Nevada for a Mountain West dual.
