'Dogs swept by Broncos in Boise

BOISE, Idaho - The Fresno State volleyball team fell in straight sets at Boise State on Thursday evening at Bronco Gym.
Fresno State (6-11, 0-5 MW) dropped sets, 15-25, 22-25, 22-25 to Boise State (12-4, 4-1 MW).
How It Happened
The Bulldogs fell behind early in the opening set, 12-6, but used an 8-2 run to tie the set at 14 after assisted blocks from Ella Rud and Kasey Purry. It was all Broncos from there scoring 11 of the set's final 12 points for a 25-15 win.
With the second set getting off to a 13-13 draw, the Broncos went on a 6-0 run for a 19-13 lead. The 'Dogs answered back with a 7-3 run that ended with a kill by Rud to cut Boise State's lead to 22-20. An attack error by the Broncos cut the deficit to one at 23-22, but the final two points of the set went to Boise State for the three-point set win.
With the third set seeing nine ties seeing draws at nine, 10, 12, 13, 14, 16, 17, 18 & 21, the Broncos went up a pair on a service error by Rud and a kill. The 'Dogs responded with a kill by Lauren Sabbatini, but back-to-back kills by Boise State closed out the sweep for the Broncos.
