'Dogs fall in series finale, 6-1

Sophomore Alyssa Orr led the Bulldogs at the plate going 2-for-4. Senior Casey Dixon recorded the start in the circle, pitching 5.2 innings.
The Aggies recorded six runs on 14 hits through the six innings, taking a 6-0 lead into the final frame.
Orr hit a leadoff double in the bottom of the seventh inning, and advanced to third on a wild pitch. Vanessa M. Hernandez sent up a sacrifice fly to center field, bringing home the Bulldogs' lone run of the game. Kacey Hvitved hit a two-out single to keep the rally alive, but the Aggies' left fielder made a play on a foul ball during the next at bat to end the game.
WHAT'S NEXT
The Bulldogs will travel to Santa Clara on Tuesday, Feb. 22 for a doubleheader, the action starts at 2 p.m. PT.
