Jittakoat named MW Player of the Week

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- Fresno State junior Pang Jittakoat has been named the Mountain West Women's Tennis Player of the Week, the conference office announced on Wednesday.

This is Jittakoat's first career weekly conference honor.

Jittakoat has helped lead the Bulldogs to their first-ever 7-1 start to a season, which has included strong play throughout the rotation.

Last week, Jittakoat went a perfect 4-0 while playing at No. 1 doubles and No. 2 singles in Fresno State's victories over San Francisco and Santa Clara.

The Bulldogs are ranked No. 51 in the latest ITA Collegiate Tennis Division I Women's Team Rankings and next play at Cal Poly on Friday before hosting Pacific on Sunday at Copper River Country Club.

Helped Fresno State to an undefeated week (2-0), with wins over San Francisco (4-1) and Santa Clara (4-1).
Went a combined 4-0 at No. 1 doubles and No. 2 singles.
Clinched the match-winning point on Feb. 18, sweeping USF's Chiho Mushika (7-6, 6-4).
Joined forces with teammate Carolina Piferi, collecting two wins at the top doubles position.
