Two 'Dogs named Scholar All-Americans

RICHMOND, Va. - Fresno State swimming and diving student-athletes Athena Clayson and Yuliya Tykha have been named to the 2021-22 Second Team College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Scholar All-America Team.
To qualify for First-Team Scholar All-America, student-athletes earned a minimum of GPA of 3.5 and participated in their national championship.
Second-Team selections also earned a 3.5Â GPA or higher and achieved a "B" time standard for the national championship or participated at a diving zone qualification meet.
Clayson, a mass communication and journalism major from England, earned her third straight Mountain West individual title in the 200 Back and finished second at the MW Championships in the 100 Back.
Tykha, an interior design major from Ukraine, earned her second career Scholar All-America honors after also earning the honor in 2019-20. Tykha placed 16th at the Zone E Championships on the Platform and earned a pair of All-Mountain West honors on the 1-Meter and Platform.
The College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) named 1,206 swimmers and divers to its Scholar All-American Team for the 2021-22 season.
