A new NIL marketplace, powered by Opendorse, is available for fans, brands and sponsors to connect directly with Bulldog student-athletes.
FRESNO, Calif. – The 559 Exchange is now the official NIL Marketplace of Fresno State Athletics, which is one of the first licensed school marketplaces in college sports.
In recent years, Fresno State Athletics has equipped Bulldog student-athletes with brand development education and support to best prepare each athlete for long-term success beyond the field of play.
"Prioritizing NIL education and supporting entrepreneurial opportunities for our student-athletes has been a priority of ours since the inception of the NIL era," said Frank Pucher, Fresno State Senior Associate Athletics Director for External Relations. "The launch of our custom NIL marketplace, in partnership with Opendorse, is the next step in our efforts to provide Bulldog athletes with the tools they need to be successful in this space, while providing brands and organizations with a streamlined platform to engage with them moving forward."
With today's launch of the Opendorse-powered marketplace, Fresno State is among the first programs nationwide to provide a single marketplace to send supporters to access student-athletes and offer compliant opportunities.
"Fresno State has established itself as a leader in NIL support since our partnership began in 2020," said Opendorse CEO Blake Lawrence. "Today's launch of their NIL Marketplace is the next step to maximizing opportunities for every athlete. Now, any fan or brand can confidently offer compliant NIL deals to their favorite Fresno State student-athletes in just seconds."
Fresno State fans, brands, sponsors and donors can browse, book, pitch and pay any Fresno State student-athlete for NIL activities in one compliant platform, built specifically for the athletes' needs.
The 559 Exchange is built on a decade of athlete marketing technology and experience. Opendorse has facilitated hundreds of thousands of NIL deals and endorsements with athletes at every level of sports. The marketplace is used by over 75,000 athletes to manage deals from pitch to payment, and even tax prep, every day, while also delivering security and simplicity for all involved parties.
In addition to the marketplace, Fresno State continues its partnership with Opendorse, receiving full access to the all-in-one NIL platform and continues to provide its student-athletes and staff with Opendorse's best-in-class compliance, content and education tools.
Fresno State was the first university athletics department in California and the Mountain West to join Opendorse Ready in 2020.
