'Dogs defeat La Verne in Exhibition Game

FRESNO, Calif.- Led by three players in double figures, the Fresno State women's basketball team won its exhibition game on Friday evening at the Save Mart Center, defeating La Verne 96-43.Â
HOW IT HAPPENEDÂ
The 'Dogs started off strong in the first half taking the lead for 17 minutes with a 10-point scoring run in the second period. Bulldogs' scored more than half of their total points by the first half.Â
The newcomers made their mark on the court, of the seven, five played at least 20 minutes and three put up double digit figures.Â
Outscoring La Verne by 18 points the 'Dogs continued to extend their lead in the second half and kept the Leopards to under ten points in the third period.Â
By the start of the fourth period the 'Dogs created a 47-point difference and closed out the game with 18-points.Â

- This is the fourth exhibition game in head coach Jamie White's career where the 'Dogs put up more than 90 points.Â
- The 'Dogs are 9-0 when opponents score 50 or less points in an exhibition game. Â
- 54% of the total points came from in the paint.Â
- Biggest lead of the night came in the fourth quarter when Fresno State led by 58 points with 4:46 left in the game.
