Hill goes for 20 in hard-fought game in Reno

Fresno State (9-15, 5-8 MW) was led by 20 points from Isaiah Hill while Jemarl Baker chipped in 17 points adding three rebounds, an assist and a steal.
Donavan Yap provided 11 points off the bench while dishing out a team-high five assists and Eduardo Andre registered 10 points and grabbed a team-leading eight rebounds.
Nevada (20-6, 10-3 MW), who improved to 13-0 at home this season, was led by 19 points apiece from Will Baker and Kenan Blackshear.
How It Happened
An even first half saw the 'Dogs jump out to a 24-18 lead after a dunk by Leo Colimerio, but the Wolf Pack answered back with a 7-0 run to take a one-point lead.
A three-pointer at the buzzer from Anthony Holland cut the Wolf Pack's lead down to two at the break with the 'Dogs trailing 34-32 at halftime.
A three-pointer by Hill pushed the Bulldogs in front, 49-46 midway through the second half and another field goal from downtown, this time from Baker, knotted the game at 59 with 6:25 to go.
An 8-0 run for Nevada put the Wolf Pack ahead 67-59 with a pair of free throws by Hill ending the scoring drought.
A three-pointer by Hill cut the Wolf Pack's lead down to five at 71-66, but the final six points of the night went to Nevada to seal the win.
Notes
- Fresno State now trails its all-time series with Nevada, 45-62 (overall), which includes wins by the Wolf Pack in 10 of the last 11 meetings.
- This was the sixth road game (in the last seven match-ups) for Fresno State in its series with Nevada.
- This was the final game in a stretch of playing three games in eight days (two of three on the road).
- Fresno State dropped to 30-9 when at least four Bulldogs score 10 or more points in head coach Justin Hutson's five seasons with the Bulldogs.
- Nevada remained undefeated at home during the 2022-23 season (now 13-0 at Lawlor Events Center).
- This was Isaiah Hill's fifth career game (third time this season) with at least 20 points.
