How Sweep It Is! ’Dogs dominate Rams in MW opener

FRESNO, Calif. – The No. 67-ranked Fresno State women's tennis team swept the No. 42-ranked Colorado State Rams 4-0 in both teams' Mountain West opener on Friday afternoon at the Spalding G. Wathen Tennis Center.
Fresno State (7-6, 1-0 Mountain West) earned the doubles point by winning at the No. 2 and 3 positions, and then won three singles contests against Colorado State (11-3, 0-1 MW).
2022 MW Player of the Year Pang Jittakoat swept CSU's Radka Buzkova at No. 1 singles to give Fresno State a 2-0 lead.
Carolina Piferi then won at No. 4 singles and Mariya Vyshkina, the three-time Mountain West Freshman of the Week, continued her dominance in her debut season in the Central Valley by winning 6-2, 6-4 over Sarka Richterova.
