Denby named NFCA All-Pacific Region

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Fresno State senior Alesia Denby was named to the 2023 National Fastpitch Coaches Association All-Pacific Region Third Team.

Denby, who also earned Mountain West Defensive Player of the Year honors in 2023, batted .314 with a 1.036 OPS, 10 home runs, 11 doubles, five triples, 31 RBIs, 39 runs scored and 13 stolen bases in the Bulldogs' spring campaign.

Denby was one of four MW players with five triples during the 2023 season.

This is Denby's first NFCA All-Region recognition in her Bulldog career, which has included starting all 158 games for Fresno State at shortstop in the last three seasons.

With the selection, Fresno State has had at least one NFCA All-Region selection in eight of the past nine awarded seasons and in 38 of the last 40 years of teams.

Denby is the 133rd All-Region selection in program history and first shortstop to earn the distinction since Haley Gilleland in 2008.
