NFL Preseason Week 3 preview

FRESNO, Calif. – The third and final week of the NFL preseason kicks off on Thursday night as 16 former Fresno State football players are scattered across the NFL with five in their rookie seasons.

Week two saw highlights from former Bulldog running backs Ronnie Rivers (LA Rams) and Jordan Mims (Buffalo Bills). Rivers was the Rams' leading rusher with nine carries for 42 yards. Mims scored his first NFL touchdown last weekend. He had four carries for 24 yards, and a team-high 6.0 average yards per run.

Defensively, Mykal Walker debuted in his showing in a Chicago Bears uniform last weekend. He finished with a team-high five tackles. Walker was waived by the Atlanta Falcons on August 13, and quickly claimed by the Bears on August 14.
