
Khakh, Reyes lead Bulldogs at USF Invite to open 2023

SAN FRANCISCO – The Fresno State cross country teams opened their seasons on Friday afternoon, competing at Hellman Hollow at Golden Gate Park. In her first collegiate race, Kushleen Khakh paced the women while Juanathan Reyes led the men.
Khakh recorded a time of 22:45.2 in her first 6k to place 53rd overall in a strong field that included two teams from the Pac-12, three from the West Coast Conference and three others from the Mountain West. The Bulldogs' next finisher was also a freshman, Janae Penner who was 68th with a time of 23:15.5. The women placed 10th as a team.
Juanathan Reyes clocked a 26.09.4 to finish 77th. Running his first 8k, freshman Emilio Nunez finished in 26.59.5.
