FRESNO, Calif.- Fresno State women's basketball announced the signing of redshirt-sophomore transfer Avery Watkins to the 2024-25 roster earlier this morning.Â
Watkins will be transferring to Fresno State with three years of eligibility remaining after spending her freshman and red-shirting the 2023-24 season at the University of Hawaii.Â
In her first season with the Rainbow Warriors, the 6-foot freshman, Watkins played in eight games starting in four as a true freshman. Watkins made first career start versus Florida Gulf Coast, scored her first collegiate basket with a three-pointer versus CSU Bakersfield and was named to the Big West Commissioner's Honor Roll.
Watkins is the third transfer to sign with the Bulldogs for the upcoming 2024-25 season and will join Mariah Elohim (LIU), Saga Ukkonen (Texas Tech.) and incoming freshman Danae Powell and Rayna Williams.Â
