WACO, Texas - The Fresno State equestrian team had a pair of student-athletes earn the title of Ariat All-American, announced by the National Collegiate Equestrian Association on Tuesday. Senior Kendra Lee was named a second team horsemanship All-American while freshman Paris Mahoney was tabbed honorable mention All-American in the flat.
Â
Lee earns the Bulldogs' first horsemanship All-American honor since the 2019-20 season. Although the Bulldogs' seventh all-time flat All-American, Mahoney is just the second-ever true freshman to earn All-America honors in the flat. She joins Macy Wilson (2011-12) as true freshman All-Americans in the flat.
Â
Lee posted a 8-5-1 horsemanship record, with a single-season career-best four MOP honors.
Â
This season, Mahoney had a 10-4-0 flat record with three MOP honors.
Â
With 10 wins in the flat this season, Mahoney tied the program's single season win record, sitting at the top with Cecily Hayes who had two 10-win seasons as a Bulldog.
Â
While Mahoney is just beginning her career, Lee sees hers come to a close. The senior Bulldog finished her career with a 17-22-2 record, with five MOPs. Her 41 total rides in the horsemanship are the sixth-most by a Bulldog in program history. Her five MOP honors are the fifth-most in the event.
Â
Both Mahoney and Lee were recognized as All-Big 12 talent in their respective events this season.
