Bulldogs sign Diarrah Sissoko

FRESNO, Calif. - Fresno State womens basketball head coach Ryan McCarthy announced the newest signee to the 2025-26 roster with Diarrah Sissoko on Monday afternoon.Â
Sissoko makes her way to the Central Valley from New Mexico State as a graduate student in her remaining year of eligibility.Â
The 5-foot-10 guard played one season at New Mexico State, seeing action in 21 games and made an appearance in the WNIT game against Pacific. Sissoko shot over forty-percent from the field (21-of-50) and averaged 2.7 points per game, 1.2 rebounds in 9.1 minutes on the court. Â
Prior to New Mexico State, Sissoko had stops at Grayson College, Salt City Community College and Sam Houston, spending one season at each stop.Â
Sissoko holds international experience as a national player for Mali. Sissoko represented Mali in 2017 in Mozambique, claiming the title that year. The guard most recently on the senior national team for Mali.Â
Sissoko, a native from Bamako, Mali joins the Bulldogs this off season as the eighth portal addition. Sissoko joins Morelia Chavez (Florida State), Emilia Long (UAA), Djessira Diawara (SJSU), Jaisa Gamble (UAA), Hedda Koehne (UAA), Indiya Clarke (Wofford) and Ashlyn Rean (UAA).Â
