Bulldogs end time in Washington with win over Eagles

PULLMAN, Wash. - The Fresno State Tennis team concluded their time in the PNW with a win against Eastern Washington State in a neutral site meeting on Saturday afternoon, 4-3.Â
How it happenedÂ
Fresno State set the tone early by claiming the doubles point, earning wins on courts two and three. Eliza Dunbar and Sofia Pizzoni claimed victory first with a 6–3 decision on court three, while Louna Cormier and Andjela Lopicic teamed up for a 6–4 victory on court two to give Fresno State the early advantage.

Eastern Washington responded in singles play, but the Bulldogs answered with wins on three courts to clinch the dual. Pizzoni earned a straight-set victory at the top flight, rolling to a 6–1, 6–0 win on court one. Giulia Lodovici added another point for Fresno State with a 6–2, 6–4 win on court three, and Dunbar's win came with a 6–1, 6–1 result on court four.Â
Paulina Montiel, Klara Vukicevic and Cormier fell in singles play. Vukicevic and Montiel fell in a three set battle.Â
