PALM DESERT, Calif. - The Fresno State women's golf team finished the opening round of the Alice & John Wallace Classic in eighth place, shooting 12-over 296 at Monterey Country Club
Freshman Hyojeong Kang started her tournament off strong, leading the Bulldogs alongside Vunnisa Vu as the pair finished tied for 18th at 2-over with two birdies apiece.
Katelyn Lehigh ended her day tied for 38th at 4-over, tallying consecutive birdies on two separate occasions.Â
Amelia Garibaldi shot 5-over, and Lara Goerlich wrapped up round one at 9-over.
