'Dogs fall on the road at TCU

BURLESON, Texas - The No. 8 Fresno State equestrian team saw its second-half comeback attempt fall short at No. 7 TCU, suffering a 12-8 loss to the Horned Frogs on Thursday morning.
How it Happened
The Horned Frogs earned a 4-1 win in the fences as Molly Stewart won the only point for the Bulldogs with a 83.5-82 win.
In the reining, the Bulldogs earned two points from Alana Becker and Adrianna Runzo. Becker earned the first point of the morning with a 68.5-67.25 ride while Runzo followed up with a 69.75-66.75 ride.
The Bulldogs trailed 7-3 at the intermission.
Fresno State saw some momentum shift with high scores in the horsemanship. Hailey Olson won the first point with a 73.75 to her opponent's 68. Shelby Robinette earned the next point with a score of 73.5 to her opponent's 71.25. Abby Goddard earned the third point with a 74.75-73.75 win.
In the flat, the Bulldogs scored two big points after an 83 from Paris Mahoney and an 82 by Sage Lindvall but the Horned Frogs secured the win with their three wins in the event.
