Mahoney earns pair of Big 12 Rider of the Month honors

IRVING, Texas - Fresno State sophomore Paris Mahoney has been named the January Big 12 Rider of the Month in both jumping seat events, the fences and flat.

Mahoney went undefeated in the jumping seat disciplines in the Bulldogs' 13-5 win over the then-No. 7 UC Davis last weekend.

In the fences, Mahoney earned the first point of the meet for the Bulldogs, defeating her opponent 82-73, the largest margin of victory in the event. The sophomore then clinched the final point of the meet in the Flat with a 76-73 score. This was the second time this season Mahoney went undefeated in both events.

Mahoney earns her first career Big 12 monthly honors.

Mahoney and the Bulldogs are back in action at home this Saturday, hosting Minnesota Crookston at the Student Horse Center at 10 a.m. PT. Admission and parking are free.
