Bulldogs finish second at Soboba Classic

SAN JACINTO, Calif. - The Fresno State women's golf team opened the spring season strong by capturing second place at the Soboba Classic, posting a team score of 38 over 902 at Soboba Springs Golf Course.
In their opening tournament of the spring, Fresno State saw five players finish within the top 25 while earning their highest placed finish of the season.
Amelia Garibaldi took home runner-up honors, wrapping up her tournament at 5-over. Katelyn Lehigh and Vunnisa Vu joined Garibaldi inside the top five, finishing tied for third and fifth respectively.
Lara Goerlich tallied her second best finish of the year, shooting 4-over in the final round to end her tournament tied for 21st.
Hyojeong Kang finished at 30-over, and Sara Rampoldi recorded the best finish of her career, tying for 17th while competing as an individual.Â
