‘Dogs in sixth at Fresno State Classic

FRESNO, Calif. - The Fresno State women's golf team kicked off the Fresno State Classic at Fort Washington Golf and Country Club on Monday. Heading into the final day of the tournament, the Bulldogs sit in sixth place with a team score of 28-over 604.
Vunnisa Vu finished day one of the tournament as the low Bulldog. The junior moved up four spots during round two to finish tied for seventh, entering the final round at 3-over. Vu recorded three birdies apiece in the opening two rounds.
Amelia Garibaldi made the biggest leap up the leaderboard for the Bulldogs in the second round. Garibaldi jumped up 17 spots after producing a bogey-free round where she shot an even-par on 17 holes while recording a birdie on hole 5 to place her tied for 10th at 4-over.
Lara Goerlich sits just outside the top 20 in a tie for 21st place, as the freshman recorded a score of 8-over 152 through two rounds.
Sara Rampoldi wrapped up day one at 13-over, and Katelyn Lehigh shot 20-over.
